Ph.D. Sci. Georgy I. Raab heads the 'Severe Plastic Deformation Techniques' laboratory.

The main direction of activities in the laboratory is experimental research of equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) process aimed at producing bulk ultra-fine grained billets from ductile (copper, nickel, aluminum) and hard-to-deform materials (titanium alloys, tungsten, molybdenum, etc.).

In the framework of performed projects the Laboratory closely cooperates with Russian and overseas partners.
